Ceisteanna is a free weekly quiz. These terms cover the basics of using it. See the note at the bottom about their limits.
It's an honour system
Ceisteanna is self-marked — you tell us whether you got a question right. We don't verify this, and the leaderboard reflects that: it's for fun, not a competition with prizes. Keep it honest.
Accounts
You don't need an account to play. If you register one, keep your login details to yourself, and use a display name that isn't offensive or impersonating someone else — we can remove one that is.
The quiz content
Questions are written or adapted by us, with source questions drawn from the open trivia databases credited on the Sources & licencespage. We try to get facts right and fix mistakes when they're pointed out, but we don't guarantee every answer is beyond dispute — trivia is like that sometimes.
Availability
This is a small, independently run site. We aim to publish a new edition every Friday, but we don't promise the site will always be up, or that any given feature will stay exactly as it is — we may change or discontinue parts of it.
Liability
Ceisteanna is provided as-is, for entertainment, with no warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site.
